MacBook Pro internet

Recommended Posts

Hi, about a week ago maybe a little more, my MacBook Pro lost all internet capability on all connections, wifi/ethernet and even tethering data from my mobile. The OS allowed me to download a new version of macOS but email and web browsing won’t work. I opened a topic in a Mac forum and a few people are suggesting eset may be causing issues. I just wanted to check if anyone else is having or had similar issues? I have tried removing eset but there are still background plugins running which I can’t remove. Thanks.

What plugins do you mean? Are they ESET related? If ESET is uninstalled, all its extensions are removed from the system.

Marcos I know older version of ESET on macOS had a bug where the proxy might break blocking all network connections, so it could be an outdated ESET version, or maybe it is some 3rd party firewall

Thank you, do you know how I would clarify if that’s the issue?
