eornate 2
My customer said : he can install other AV vendor on win 2008 R2 without install KB5006728. So i can not suggest him use ESET products on his server
LesRMed 21
I don't believe this only for ESET. It is my understanding that all AV companies will have the same requirement as this is a Microsoft requirement.

Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted November 13 Administrators Share Posted November 13 All AVs will require ACS support sooner or later. E.g. https://success.trendmicro.com/dcx/s/solution/000291904?language=en_US.

Hi Marcos, Currently in my case, my customer paid for license ESET and still now he can not install Eset product on his server with problem update the KB5006728 ( although i tried update all KB on this guide October 12, 2021—KB5006728 (Security-only update) - Microsoft Support ,) and he installed the Kaspersky on his server :). Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted November 14 Administrators Share Posted November 14 Currently it's possible to install the previous version of ESET Server Security that didn't require ACS. However, as of December 7 after the SHA256 certificate expires ACS support will be a must, otherwise Windows will not allow ESET to install or update the program. The same holds true for any antivirus, it's just their SHA256 certificates expire on different dates.
