Did you try running the Uninstall tool in safe mode to remove ESET completely and then installing v16.1.14 from scratch?

Are you able to manually create the key ekrn.exe under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options? If not, is it possible to create a key with a different name there?

Also it appears that you have several tools like UnhackMe, Wise Care, Trojan Remover, Glary utiltiies installed, maybe some of them is preventing the installer from writing to the registry.

Regsitry do not allow me to create any key with this or other name whre you told me to

About other tools, they work very fine with ESTE SECURITY until july 28th, when it stop to open with windows 10 and cannot update anymore

You don't have to format the disk and reinstall Windows. Please check the permissions for the above mentioned registry key and make sure that: both the system account and Administrators group have full control granted.

Are you the Admin?

If you are , try to see if your Windows is corrupted

Run this from CMD Admin

sfc /scannow

Quote

"The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache. The %WinDir% placeholder represents the Windows operating system folder."

Hello MArcos....I open my PC in SECURITY MODE and them i can create the key  ekrn.exe  in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options

What the next step???? try to reinstall ESET?

If you can create the ekrn.exe valua only in safe mode, it means that one of the applications / tools that you have installed is preventing the installer from creating the registry value in normal mode. Please try temporarily uninstalling the applications I've mentioned before.

Try this when you boot back to normal environment

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Does it find corruption?

Not trying to interrupt with Marcos , please follow with him because he is an ESET Staff , I am not

But try to download ESET Online Scanner , and put it to detect unwanted apps and unsafe apps , and let it scan deep , does it find something weird?

Please save it unfiltered and compress it. If still too big to upload here, upload the archive to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, DropBox, etc. and drop me a private message with a download link.

Hi Nightowl fine??

The solution found by Mr MArcos is that some of security softwares like wise cleaner, malwarebytes, trojan remover, glary utilities etc, was blocking ESTE to write some lines in Windows Registry, i uninstall those softwares, restart my my PC and try to inatsll ESET.... ant a miracle. occour....after this i reinstall those softwraes again.

Take care best regards
