Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted November 18, 2014 Most Valued Members Share Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) I've noticed with ESET Cyber Security Pro 6.0.14 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 that Web and Anti-Phishing protection stops scanning at random points during use. I'm not sure if it's stopping after putting the Mac to sleep or if it's stopping by itself. For example, the statistics section displays that the last scanned item for today was a website visited at around 11am, and the events log last shows a Proxy Agent event at 11:32am with nothing new since. So until I manually restart my Mac, I am no longer being protected both on the web and for phishing without any indication. This can be confirmed by visiting the "Feature Settings Check - Phishing Page" by the AMTSO which ESET actively supports. When the Mac is restarted, protection is active until it decides to stops working at some point again. Edited November 18, 2014 by planet
Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted August 6, 2015 Author Most Valued Members Share Posted August 6, 2015 Wanted to quickly mention that this is still occurring with 6.0.14.3 and OS X 10.10.4. Updated link for the "Features Setting Check - Phishing Page" by the AMTSO for testing since original post: hxxp://www.amtso.org/feature-settings-check-phishing-page/

Please let us know. P.R. Hello, It can happen either when esets_proxy crashes, or either when esets_proxy 'freezes' or hangs (it doesn't crash but esets_proxy refuses to work until you force quit it yourself). Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted September 23, 2015 Author Most Valued Members Share Posted September 23, 2015 Hi Peter, ESET Endpoint Security 6 for OS X has had this issue resolved since its initial first release earlier this year, just not for the home products (Cyber Security). Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Most Valued Members Share Posted October 3, 2015 That's correct, can confirm that they new versions are now able to recover successfully if a crash occurs and resume protection and no longer leaves the user vulnerable.
