Version 8.0.304 ...

I see that the full offline install file has been updated to version 8.0.304. But there is no change log on the download page (and it is not available via the in-program update function). What is new and should users update?

Are you referring to the update from 8.0.301 to 8.0.304 or just the new features in version 8 in general? If the question is what changed in 8.0.304 versus 8.0.301 as far as I am aware these were very small improvements related to different language versions (localization). You downloaded the EU version you should be fine. The in-product update will be available soon so you can wait until then.

The update from 8.0.301 to 8.0.304. I am using the U.S. English version, and upgraded to 8.0.301 the day it came out a few weeks back. What is new in .304? There is no change log on the ESET download page.

The 8.0.304 build is the same as .301 but has the latest modules already installed (e.g., the modules are listed in the "Installed components" window of the About ESET ... screen).

Are there any bug fixes in the new version?

E.g. the fix for that: ESS GUI (egui.exe) Freezes At Tab Scan Computer

Marcos said it would be fixed in the versions 8.0.305 and 7.0.326.

But the actual versions are 8.0.304 and 7.0.325.

So are we still 0.0.001 versions from the fix away? *cry* ;)

Right. The bug was fixed by the beginning of October which is when v8.0.304 was ready for release. That said, it will be fixed in the next service build 8.0.305 or newer.

So we are really 0.0.001 versions away from this bug... Oh no...

And will you release another v7 built (7.0.326) with this fixed built?

And will you release another v7 built (7.0.326) with this fixed built?

Most likely not. At the time of the release of the next v8 build, all known issues should be already fixed (by modules) so it won't make any sense to put a lot of efforts and resources into releasing another v7 build.
