Eset Endpoint Antivirus 8.1.2031.0 Install on Windows 7 Error Code: MSI. -2147483648

Dear Support,

I might be missing some update here , unfortunately no idea what . On some machines I managed to install latest ESET Endpoint Antivirus ( for Business ) but on others it simply failed to install with the above cryptic error code . I tried to google it but nothing.

 

Please Help.

I'd recommend opening a support ticket with your local ESET distributor for further troubleshooting.

You can also create and upload an install log as per https://support.eset.com/en/kb406 which might shed more light.

Hello Marcos ,

thank you . So I have tried to update on one client the Management Agent . First with the batch file no success, so I directly downloaded the installer msi . ( copied the url from the batch file )

After trying to install , it says it encountered an error and ended prematurely.

Attached the Log files , I see a few errors , but unfortunately I cannot make much sense of it .

 

( I am trying to install on Windows XP and WIndows 7 )

I just tried to run it extra with admin rights , still failed. But the Log is a bit different.

I'd say there's still a problem running the installer with administrator rights:
