Robert Becskei 0
Dear Support, I might be missing some update here , unfortunately no idea what . On some machines I managed to install latest ESET Endpoint Antivirus ( for Business ) but on others it simply failed to install with the above cryptic error code . I tried to google it but nothing. Please Help.
Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted August 23, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 23, 2021 I'd recommend opening a support ticket with your local ESET distributor for further troubleshooting. You can also create and upload an install log as per https://support.eset.com/en/kb406 which might shed more light.
Robert Becskei 0
Hello Marcos , thank you . So I have tried to update on one client the Management Agent . First with the batch file no success, so I directly downloaded the installer msi . ( copied the url from the batch file ) After trying to install , it says it encountered an error and ended prematurely. Attached the Log files , I see a few errors , but unfortunately I cannot make much sense of it . ( I am trying to install on Windows XP and WIndows 7 ) Agent_Log.txt
Robert Becskei 0
I just tried to run it extra with admin rights , still failed. But the Log is a bit different. Agent_Log_AdminRights.txt
Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted August 24, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 24, 2021 I'd say there's still a problem running the installer with administrator rights: Action start 07:04:00: CA_CheckUserIsAdmin. MSI (c) (40:74) [07:04:02:081]: Invoking remote custom action. DLL: C:\DOKUME~1\cXXXXm\LOKALE~1\Temp\MSI902D.tmp, Entrypoint: CheckUserIsAdmin Action ended 07:04:02: CA_CheckUserIsAdmin. Return value 3. MSI (c) (40:64) [07:04:02:246]: Doing action: FatalError Action 07:04:02: FatalError. Action start 07:04:02: FatalError.
