Mr.Wong 2 Posted June 19, 2021 Posted June 19, 2021 Download site for the app gui version: hxxps://deemix.app/gui/ Note: replace the xx with tt for https not hxxps. homepage: hxxps://deemix.app/ Note: replace the xx with tt for https not hxxps Virustotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/3c325eaeacc486269d5eb48812181a5cba605869ca3daf82c1206b8a97fa1244/detection I ran this on my desktop with shadow defender on and I don't see any suspicious activity at all from basic analyzing like looking through task manager and control panel for any unknown program drop. From virustotal.com, it looks clean. Can anyone run this and do further analyzing if this file is safe? itman 1,806 Posted June 20, 2021 Posted June 20, 2021 (edited) It behooves one to always search for current information on whatever topic one is researching. Reddit has an entire section dedicated to Deemix: https://www.reddit.com/r/deemix/ . As far as if its malware, refer to this posting by the developer: https://www.reddit.com/r/deemix/comments/invok4/is_deemix_malware/ . The above said, anything that uses Pyinstaller is potentially dangerous since it will allow for installation of Python apps; many of which are difficult for AV software to detect. Most Valued Members peteyt 396 Posted June 20, 2021 Most Valued Members Posted June 20, 2021 I suppose as well like YouTube downloaders this is in a way a modded version of Deezer so there's always the risk of what else could be hidden. However it looks like it is safe but has copycats that aren't
