ESET Mail Server Security and installing Security Update

Hi,

I have client who has latest ESET Mail Security installed on their Exchange 2016 CU19 about 2 months ago. According to Microsoft, as a general info, is to disable AV protection on the server before the install the Security Update.

According to ESET Support, the SU can be installed (with cmd run as Administrator) without the need to turn off all the protection features. I am wondering if there is anyone who has this setup can share their experience to confirm or share your thoughts of whether need to turn off all ESET MS protection?

Btw, the Security Update above is for Exchange, not Windows.
