Antivirus Idle Scan takes a while to stop

Idle scanning is enabled in the profile but recently it noticed it seems to take a minute to stop when I log back in, and runs at 100% disk usage until it stops making the computer crawl until it finishes. Is there any fine control over Idle Scanning I can enable or is this expected behaviour. Never noticed it in the past.

You can try disabling scanning of archives and sfx archives in the idle-state scanner setup since the delay is most likely caused by scanning certain archives on the disk.

In ThreatSense parameters for Idle-Scan option, verify that the scan is set to low priority. See if this helps with the logon issues:
