Hello Looking to upgrade a Windows 2008R2 server to 2019 with Eset Encryption server installed, just wondering is it best to do a in place upgrade 2008r2 to 2012 then 2016 then 2019.

or build a new 2019 server and transfer the data across, if its the second option whats the best way of going about it. thanks

I just want to inform you that the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server does not have to be installed on a server machine.

 

In regards to your question, in my opinion it will be easier for you to backup the server, upgrade your system to the newest version and then simply restore from the backup.
