  1. from wireshark it seems that mirror tools want to donwload hxxp://update.eset.com/eset_upd/ep6/dll/update.ver and this file is not present in eset servers. wiresahrk_for_Ep6.zip
  2. Hi dears, We want to create ep6 update file for our offline clients that have Endpoint 6.5 but the mirror tools show a problem with creating files. The miror tools works find with 6.6 update srevers: The commnad is : MirrorTool.exe --mirrorType regular --updateServer hxxp://91.228.166.16/eset_upd/ep6 --intermediateUpdateDirectory c:\mirror\tempv6 --offlineLicenseFilename c:\mirror\lic.lf --outputDirectory C:\nginx\html\eset_upd\ep6 Error is : Error: Perform full mirror failed with error: Unidentified server response. Error code is: 8450 Error occured.

  4. Hi Dears, From Today morning we have problem in generating offline license in ELA. The page hang on preparing for download as you see in the picture. This problem is occurred for all licenses.

Yes As you said if we set Agent to use an account it will access the share foldres but forexamle you have 30 system in Workgroup you must do it one by one or you must use ESET Repository. We think that may be ESET Agent can use Network service account to solve this problem while it is installing the service. So manualyy solitions will solve the permision error as you said.

We have this problem in workgroup invirement and in workgroup we do not have "Domain Computers" , The problem is Local system accounts can not access shared folders even when they are accessible with every one with full permisions. ESET Agent is uning Local system account and local system account can not access share folder in another machine. So we must use domian or we must set a account for every client's agent ! Any Idea in workgroup networks ?

  8. Thank yoy dear Peter , So in V6 , the network that is using proxy and have not direct internet , They can not use component upgrade task. They must upgarde agent manulally or with orher deploy solutions. I think it is a bug and why when all compunication is established via proxy setting , Upgarde did not use it ! Are you agree with me or not ? I think ESET must correct it in next releases.

  10. We do many tests and we find that when Agent is runing as system account it can not access shared resources ! But when we chage the log on settings in services and set the log on for administrator it can access the MSI file from file://\\server\eset\ees_nt32_enu.msi . is it a bug ? it is not normal , We test this problem in one network , Any Idea ?
  11. Same problem in Ver 6.2 .. We test by file://\\server\eset\ees_nt32_enu.msi --- faild with error "boost::filesystem::status: (0x5) Access is denied" file://c:\eset\ees_nt32_enu.msi Works hxxp://server:3128/ees_nt32_enu.msi( We copy msi file to apache httpdoc forlder and change some setting in it,s config ) works So the problem is just with share resources. Any solutions ?
  12. We check this problem and we set the direct internet via gateway and then agent upgarade successfully while it is configured to use our apache proxy server. Try the direct internet while agent is configure to use apache proxy and let us know the result.

  14. We check it again and the proxy setting was set correctly. It seems that agent6.1.365 can not download agent update via apache proxy. Even while proxy setting is set, it try to download the update file for upgrading without using proxy settings.
  15. Hi dears, We upgrade our ERA V6.1 to 6.2 and right now we send Remote Administrator Components Upgrade task to clients that have Agent ver6.1.365.0 . The server apache proxy is upgrraded to 2.4.16. The clients are offline and the apache proxy setting is set to ERA Agent policy to update it self via proxy. But right now Agent did not use apache proxy to upgrade , the upgrade task will faild and this line added to log : 2015-09-08 12:42:23 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread b98]: UpgradeInfrastructure: Task failed: GetFile: Host 'repository.eset.com' not found When I set gateway IP to lan setting (Direct internet) upgrade will work so it means that Agent did not use proxy to download the file: repository.eset.com/v1//com/eset/apps/business/era/agent/v6/6.2.171.0/Agent_x86.msi Also we check the apache proxy via IE at the clients and msi file easily downloaded via IE with ApacheProxy set. is it a bug or something els is wrong ?
  16. It was a temporarly problem we think in ESET activation server that is solved after one day.
  17. We think that it was a proxy server error but this error is general in these days even via Direct interent.
  18. it seems that it is an internal server error of ESET becuase also with direct internet we have error for reaching activation server! Is there any problem in activation server in these days ? because many of our clients report these errors also try with VPN and no success. Some randomize activation will successfull but most of them will not connect to activation server.
  19. It seems that there was a general problem in activation even by direct internet today ! any one have this problem ? Over 10 companies of our customers have activation problem today !

Hi again , Another problem for ERA V6 is moving to new server , For example a ERA server system have problem and we want to transfer ERA Server to new Server, There is no solution in support topics that how can we backup certificate and Database to transfer to new server. Can any one help that how can we do this ? As You know SQL Express did not have any studio manager to backup SQL database , what can customers can do ?
  22. Hi dears , We have a solution to reset password of ERA Console V5 at hxxp://support.eset.com/kb741/ and now what about V6 ? If an admin forgot Console Password , How can we reset it ?
