  1. So in this case I have to install Win Pcap and RD Sensor on 30 workstations and after taking the data from detectedMachines.log I have to upload same on the ERAS, am I right? Also need suggestion from Moderator.
  2. One of our clients using VLan and connected with Point 2 Point connection over lease line. There are around 550 workstations & 30 VLans configured with different IP range such as 10.0.1.1, 10.0.2.1, 10.0.3.1 and so on. They have installed ERAS 6.3 on 10.0.3 network and RD Sensor is able to detect workstations from the same IP range but not for other IP range. Server is able to ping client workstation from different IP range and vice-versa So kindly let me know if we can add IP range in the setting or anywhere in ERAS so that RD Sensor can detect other workstations too from different IP range.
  3. Hi, I am using ERA v6.1 Is there any possibility to get the policy logs, like when policy changed and when deployed to the client workstation? Also let me know if available in latest version 6.3.
  4. Simply download .sh to you machine, login and run it from shell Mirko Thanks for you reply... If I do as you said then the agent file will be downloaded from the ESET repository and it will consume internet bandwidth to install in each and every client workstation which I don't want. As I said earlier that I have shared Agent installer file in my network on windows PC and I want to replace the path from repository.eset.com to my shared network path in EraAgentInstaller.sh file.
  5. Hi, I'm using ESET Virtual Appliance 6.3 and I've successfully configured it. Now I have to install Agent in Linux system using Live installer. I have shared a folder on windows system which contains Agent installation file (Windows file path: \\servername\eset\Agent-Linux-x86_64.sh), but I am unable to understand what would be the link to be entered in installer file (EraAgentInstaller.sh) to get & install the Agent installer file over the LAN. For Windows agent installer I have edited path from ESET repository to file://\\servername\eset\agent_x64.msi and it works fine. So kindly suggest how to install Agent in Linux using Agent live installer.
  6. Using ERA version 6.2 with client AV I need to know that how can I import the setting file (.xml) exported from the client AV in ERAC. While importing .xml getting error Import has failed: Invalid exported policies format. When checked exporting policy from ERAC it uses .dat format to export. So please help.
  7. Database type: We have installed the same SQL comes in all-in-one setup. Database version: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 10.52.4000.0 Memory: 1.5 GB (Using ERAS in VM.) CPU: Intel Xeon CPU 3.3 Ghz. I enabled "debug" verbosity of trace log in SERVER configuration... Tried generating WebControl report until it fails. And the result is attached here.   8. After clicking on generate now button it takes some time and then gives the error. If it is a performance issue then it should be resolved by developer end. I have tried creating filter by workstation and particular Website it works because the data was minimal (450 times visit). I am unable to get complete Web Control log even for particular client, as logged URL's are around 65k. So what I can do in this scenario?
  9. I have created rule in Web Control to log all allowed websites visited by the user and also created template to generate report for the same. When the visited website data was less (200 URL's) then I was able to fetch the details easily. Now on the user's PC, visited websites are around 65k and when I fetch the data I get message ERROR DISPLAYING REPORT in ERAC. What I understood in this scenario is that the agent fetch the data when we give command from the ERAC. If the client ERA agent is not communicating to the server agent or the client workstation is not available then it is hard to get the report. Server agent should fetch all the logs time to time and store it to the server database so we can easily fetch the logs when needed.. Report Templates export 2016-01-18 10-32-30.txt
  10. Yes, lesson learned. The solution is not practical considering the scenario for corporate environment which is going to lead risk in the network due to not updating VSDB which can cause damage to the network. By any chance can we create or import the old CA certificate from the client workstation, which can be intern imported on the new server which will minimize the human efforts. As customer is comparing with version 5 which have a tool to take backup and restore easily, where in version 6 client have to take the backup with the help of SQL management studio, which will require good knowledge about database management which is again practically not possible since ERAS6 installed right from 5 user to n number of users. People can't afford to have database manager for this particular task. So I expect simple and practically viable solution. especially in case of disaster. Also we expect scheduler to take backup on regular basis on user specific location to avoid such a disaster. Hello, preferred solution in this case if configuring new SERVER installation to use certificates from old installation, but that requires you to have backup of them (or at least backup of database from previous installation). But we don't have server backup as system got crashed and its data is not accessible. Is there any option to resolve the above issue?

Hi, I have installed ERAS 6.2 around two months back and agents & client AV installed on approx 500 users, Yesterday due to some issue my Server got crashed and I am unable to recover the system, hence I have installed new ERA server on different system. As per my knowledge, to make the communication between Agent and new ERAS I have to follow one of the below steps, 1) I have to re-add the certificate and change the IP by repairing ERA Agent in each and every system manually 2) I can perform remote deployment of agent from ERA WebConsole, 3) Installation through live installer batch file As per the point 1, manual installation is not possible to do in all 500 workstations. In scenario 2, many of workstations are not connected to the internet for remote deployment, Point #3 again asking to run agent live installer in every workstation manually, which requires manpower to install in 500 clients and it is also a time consuming task. So kindly let me know if any other way available to make communication between agent and new ERAS other than above method.
  13. Hello, wee are currently using community MySQL 5.6 in our CentOS-based appliances and have not encountered any problem. Could you please check this: https://www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=44526&start=20... seems it is almost the same problem. I already tried the setting given on the link but the issue is same.
  14. We are trying to install ERA server in CentOS 6.5 but unable to do. We have successfully installed the WebConsole as instructed in help.eset.com after that we started the installation of MySQL and we have installed 5.7 but service is unable to start getting error "mysql daemon failed to start" Check MySQL logs attached. so the ERAS is unable to make communication with MySQL database. We have reinstalled MySQL with community release 5.7 but the same issue. also followed forum hxxp://www.tecmint.com/install-latest-mysql-on-rhel-centos-and-fedora/but the issue is same.   15. I'm trying to install EES remotely from the console but task is getting failed and unable to get the reason why task is failed. Kindly let me know how to check the failed task report so that I can identify the problem to fix.
  16. I am not getting any error message. When I click on the switch in front of that particular module, it prompts me to pause that module and shows the time and OK button. Same like when we try to disable module.
  17. Yes Anti-Phishing & Web access protection is disabled and other protections are not available.
  18. One of our user had CD of ESS version 7 and started the installation in windows 7. While setup, If installer is older the we get the tick option to download the latest version and install. So I selected the same and setup has started to download latest version, after successful download I get version 9 installed in client system. But now GUI shows some message on the home screen that Anti-Phising protection is non functional and I can see only Computer protection and Internet protection under Setup tab. There is no Network protection and Security tool inside Setup tab. Update also is not happening it shows update has not been run yet. Tried to update but nothing happens. The above issue happens many times when we upgrade the version while installation or with online installer. Nothing was working so I decided to uninstall ESS version 9 from the system but I'm unable to get ESET in Program menu and also not getting in Appwizard. Then I restarted system in safe to uninstall ESET with uninstaller tool but now system is not getting started just rebooting after logon window. You can see the images of ESET Home page and Setup Tab. Please check and provide the solution.
  19. I did the same but still I can see firewall non-functional. I see the ESET Personal Firewall is enabled under network setting. and below is the screenshot of the following commands "sc query epfw" "sc query epfwwfp" "sc query epfwlwf"
  20. I have installed ESS 9 full version in Windows 10 OS, but the personal firewall doesn't work, it says non functional. Previously I was using ESS version 8, in that also firewall was showing non-functional. then I have installed ESS 9 beta version and the issue was resolved. But when I installed ESS 9 full version then the same firewall issue arise. Kindly help if anyone faces the same issue. Attached error screenshot.
  21. We are using ESET SysRescue and distributing to our wide channel partners. We are facing some challenges if we want to run third-party application inside the SysRescue environment like ScreenConnect (Remote tool) application. We want to include this application in SysRescue Live CD for the remote connection. The process to use ScreenConnect is as follows: 1. Guest need to visit to the ScreenConnect URL set by the host. 2. Guest will enter the code, created for the remote session by host. 3. Then ScreenConnect downloads the supported application for desired OS. 4. After executing the downloaded file, guest system will be connected remotely with the host. In the case of SysRescue, supported file (.jnlp) get downloaded and when we execute the application, it again download the same file. We also updated the java inside SysRescue environment but doesn’t help. Kindly let us know how to add any third-party application in SysRescue live CD to be working.

  23. HI, Do we have iSwift & ichecker based scanning in any of the ESET products.
