  1. Hello,

Import of certificates is a planned feature to the next functional release.

Migration from one database type to another (like from MSSQL to MySQL) is not supported, and there are no plans to support in the near future.

So the easiest way to do this is probably new deployment on Linux or deploying virtual appliance if you use virtualization on your network.

    Regards,

  2. Hello,

we are aware of the higher amount of unanswered ERA 6 threads.

I'm collecting the questions and customers' scenarios and we will have a separate meeting with ERA Dev team in order to answer as many of them as possible.

    Answers should be available tomorrow.

The primary purpose of the forums is for the community to engage and allow users to discuss topics and issues together and help each other.

Nevertheless, we will do our best to answer the most frequent and intricate issues.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Regards,

  3. Hello tduffy,

    thank you for your opinion.

In case you would like to deploy our solution on the Endpoints via GPO probably the best option for you is ERA Live Installer, please find more details in this KB article How do I deploy the ESET Remote Administrator Agent? (6.x).

You can specify a local resource (like SMB share of local FTP server) for the installation packages in case the internet connection is not available / slow.

By the way full global release is really close so I would suggest you to wait few more days in order to use new, improved and more stable version.

The v.6 is a new product so we are aware that it has few issues, which will be fixed with next releases / module updates.

However the possibilities of the new solution are huge and definitely worth the effort.

So please stay tuned and share your experience with us on the forums or with your local support team.

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,

    P.R.

  4. Hello,

Endpoint v.5 and ERA v.5 maintains only mirror for modules, which are relevant for it.

I would recommend you to keep v.5 mirror for v.5 clients and use caching proxy for v.6 clients until you complete migration of all clients to v.6.

Benefit of caching proxy is that it downloads only files which are really needed by the clients as opposed to the mirror, which always downloaded all the files even those which weren't used.

  5. Hello,

the fix for alphanumerical password will be available in next released version.

This restriction applies for the deploy only, you may alter the password later via passwd for CentOS and than in ERA in Admin part.

Connection to the domain should work already, but requires correct configuration, however we had to do a small fix for issues reported by Timnolte-spi, thank you for letting us know about the issue.

@bbraunstein: This issue is probably caused by connecting directly to the ESXi.

You have to connect via vSphere client to vCenter server and to the deployment from here following instructions from VMWare.

    Thank you.

  6. Hello,

appliances works on ESXi 5 and higher.

To start the deployment connect to vCenter Server (not to ESXi) and select File -> Deploy OVF Template.

In case of any issues try to deploy VM just the password as seen on the attached screenshot (setting Properties -> Application -> Password ->  VM, database and server (webconsole) password ,just to rule out issues with the VM itself.

Please let us know how it went.

    Thank you.

  7. Hello,

we retested the deployment and it worked without any issues.

Can you please check if the .ova file hasn't been corrupted?

SHA1 for ERA_Server.ova should be "05c7b40c65580bee81c2a092a8bd355b02d14759" and also signature verification should not fail.

If you try to re-deploy it does it work or this ends with the same error?

can you please send me the appliance-configuration-log.txt via private message?

We will check it with Devs.

We are sorry for the late answer, we will monitor this topic on a daily basis from now on in order to help you to resolve the issues in a timely manner.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    P.R.

  8. Hello,

I'm sorry for your negative experience, his is not standard behavior for sure.

There is probably some conflict with other SW installed on your system.

Can you please install the latest version and collect logs from your system with this script after you encounter any of mentioned issues, upload it to safe location and send my a download link with the particular issues description and reference to this thread?

    We will check it.

BTW. my vacation starts today so my response may take a while.

    Thank you.

  9. Hello Jim,

In case you are using SBS you can utilize SQL server, which is built in of course.

When you are installing the new ERA via all-in-one installer do not forger to deselect SQL express installation (it would fail as far as MS SQL is already installed).
