Hi @MartinK, I managed to get some of the metadata3 files from ESET servers, but apparently we also need these manifest.erm files as well. I'm guessing they are required for the eula folders? Edmund

As an addendum, apparently I can't (or haven't found the way to ) import the peer certificates as there's no option to import them back after a backup.

Hi, Thanks to a recent pebcak fubar, the certificates are all messed up and instead of wasting time trying to find out the right one, I'm hoping to re-do the whole certificate setup; but, is there an easier way of reseting all agents' or do I actually need to uninstall all ESET products from all systems and deploy them again (I'd like to avoid this...)? Hi, In my confusion, I removed some systems (from the Windows group) that I really shouldn't have. In realizing my mistake, I waited until the systems were up to ensure they were automatically added to the list again when their agents reported in. However, after waiting for an hour, the list of computers still lacked those missing systems. So I added them manually via their local fqdn. Even after half an hour, their status still show the circle. So I've got a few questions regarding this scenario. 1) Assume I didn't manually add those systems, how long will those agents report back to the ESMC server? 2) Now that I've manually added those systems, how long will those agents be 'discovered'? I really don't want to go into those systems and remove the AV and Agent and redeploy them. Thanks Edmund

I'm just wondering whether or not MariaDB will be supported in the future with the MariaDB Connector/ODBC? Right now, when repairing (in hopes to change to Mariadb), the only options are MySQL Server, MSSQL and MSSQL with Windows Authentication. Even if I've installed the mariadb connector, it doesn't work. [side note...]

Hi, Are there any logs in the ProgramData\Eset\RemoteAdministrator\Logs (or something like that)? Event logs in Windows? The worst case scenario is to copy EsetUninstaller.exe to the affected systems, and run it in Safe Mode to clean up the stuff from previous installations. I've found this to be quite 'effective' (if not troublesome). Edmund

As a minor question of feasibility; but, could there be some sort of REST api to the repository such that we can whip up our own scripts, or even dare I ask if the MirrorTool source can be open sourced? Perhaps include an 'update' mode such that it'll just compare the current files with those on the AUTOSELECT server and find the files that are new.

I think that update to the new version 'fixed' it.

I'm not sure if I am. MirrorTool doesn't mention any versions when doing MirrorTool --help. I'll just download the zip file. Edit: No, I didn't have the latest version. (the old binary was just 1992-2018.. this new one is 1992-2019).. But some command line argument that shows the version would help finding if I do need to update it. (Just a suggestion. :) ). Hi, I've been struggling with getting mirrortool to work properly. When running mirrortool to grab updates, It would always fail with an error, be it 8451 (File not found on server) or 8453. Just got a 8451 error and while it says "File not found on server", it doesn't say which file it couldn't find. When running mirrortool to update the repo, I get a lot of errors, along the lines of: Error: Downloading file : hxxp://repository.eset.com/v1/third_party/apps/microsoft/sql/express/v12/12.3.6024.0/sqlexpr_2014_x64_enu.exe failed with : GetFile: Error reading HTTP response data (0x4e2a). I'm not entirely sure if I'm repeating the correct steps (I use GPO and not the live installer); but, the downloaded ESMCAgentInstaller.bat (assuming this is the file that PuterCare is talking about) and seeing as this batch file creates a vbs file in the tempdir, my guess is that it can't find the sha1sum.exe file. PuterCare, after running and getting that error, does sha1sum.exe exist in the %TMP% folder?

Is there any way of displaying what the error means instead of an error code? Had I known about the 'copying file' error, I'd probably would've found that out. Which brings me to another error #. 8453, which is a bit more confusing: I'm having difficulty in downloading from the servers as it keeps on being interrupted. The confusing thing about the above is it says "Perform full mirror finished" but it then says failed. I kinda understand that the process has finished but with an error; but it's misleading. But I suppose this is more of a nitpick than an actually issue. That said, what does errorcode 8453 mean? Thanks PS: I think I'll need to move the update server to a different system or get a better NIC.
