This issue will probably occur after each update. It will be eventually fixed in the next beta build.
-
Please post a screen shot of the console window you're seeing for better illustration.

03) Incompatible with Jetico Personal Firewall. This might be a minor issue for most users, but it is a major issue for me. An antivirus is useless if the only place you can trial it is in a virtual machine. Programs need to be compatible with other programs to have any value for the end-user.
I've installed JPF in tandem with EAV v7 beta fine, simply created allowing rules for all operations during installation and both apps seem to be running just fine. If you created allowing rules during installation, too and it doesn't work for you, please create a new topic where we could try to help you troubleshoot the issue. Also post some screen shots to illustrate the issue or give us more details about the issue you encountered,

Those having this issue, please post the information about installed modules and let us know whether the issue occurs also after a computer restart.

i sent email to samples@eset.com yesterday

Please respond to me
Thankyou
The whole site isn't blocked, only one particular web page. The block is ok.

Please post the appropriate record from the log with the full path to the file, the detection name as well as the action taken.

If you want to disable ThreatSense.Net, you can accomplish it via a policy.
-
Please provide step-by-step instructions how to reproduce the issue. Nobody has reported issues with Adobe Flash Player and we haven't observed such issues either.

I'm not sure if you can drop me a PM as an unregistered user. To send me a PM, click my nick and then click the button "Send me a message". However, I'd suggest that you try enabling pre-release updates in v6 and downloading the latest modules to see if they resolve the issue or not. V7 beta users have pre-release and release updates same.
-
It's been already explained, the recent updates of the module contained changes for v4-based server products.
-
Yes, it's a known issue that we've been able to reproduce.
-
Does the problem persist after enabling pre-release updates in the advanced update setup and downloading the latest modules? Excluding email clients from filtering is not recommended as emails downloaded by unsupported email clients will not be scanned for threats.
-
If they are not mobile clients, they should update from a local mirror. In such case, all you need to do is to update the license file in ESET Remote Administrator and replace the username and password for update in the ERAS Update setup if you received a new U/P.
-
The website mentioned will be unblocked as it no longer contains malware. As for OpenDNS, couldn't it be that the firewall detects DNS cache poisoning?
-
Yes, Smart optimization is enabled by default except the In-depth scan profile.
-
The issue will be fixed in the Internet protection module 1067 which will be released on pre-release update servers soon.
-
Please refer to the KB article How do I uninstall or reinstall ESET Cybersecurity for Mac?
-
What's the link to the VirusTotal scan results?
-
Could you please post the appropriate record from your Detected threats log here so that we know the location the threat was detected in as well as the action taken?
-
There's no need to improve it as it's only a very basic module. Even the latest updates contained changes aimed at v4 server versions.
-
What exact build of v6 do you have installed? You mentioned that you have WIn7 and Win8 installed on the same pc. Do you mean you installed them on virtual machines or you replaced Windows 7 with Windows 8 or vice-versa?
-
What operating system do you use? Do you get this message even if you run a scan as an administrator?
-
Virus signature database 8481 is already on the update servers. 8480 was skipped, all signatures from this version are included in 8481.

If ekrn is crashing, enable generation of complete application dumps in the ESS advanced setup (Tools -> Diagnostics). When ekrn crashes, upload the dump to a safe location and PM me the download link. The path to the dump file is shown in the previously mentioned setup pane.
"ESET" scam email targetting German users
in ESET Announcements
Posted
Today (June 27, 2013), ESET has discovered a fake email message that’s being sent to internet users in Germany and which misuses our identity to gather personal and sensitive information. ESET is detecting and blocking this threat, so customers with an updated product are protected. We recommend that all users ensure their ESET software is updated as soon as possible. We have launched a full investigation into where the attack originated from (the spam campaign where the phishing emails are sent from) and have already gathered important data in the pursuit of shutting down the criminal website.
