Components versions in v10 vs v9

Hi,

I just saw interesting post on the Wilderssecurity regarding the components versions in v9 and v10. Few modules, for example HIPS are newer in v9 hxxp://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/eset-nod32-version-10-0-369-0-released.389533/

Any explaination?

Modules are not always same for all products at a time. New versions usually receive them first after being available on pre-release servers for sufficient amount of time.

 

As for the Update module, v10 uses a different one due to a new format of modules used by v10, hence the version number is low compared to the Update module used by older versions.
