Dear All,

I was wondering if there is an option to disable Wifi adapter using ESET ? I'm also looking at possiblities where I can disable wifi in office network and allow it outside the office network.

Hi @maze_runner,

I don't know for sure, but Device Control of ESET works with the ID from the manufacturer

and related to hardware.

I think you can play with that and see what happens.

Why you want to disable wifi inside the office?

We talking about laptops right not smartphones?

Thank you @gonzalo for the quick response. As per the corporate policy, they want to block the USB, wifi while in OFFICE network but not when they step outside the network. I wish there was something like roaming profile in ERA. Yes...its for laptops. They want to use the LAN for internet access.

Hi @maze_runner,

Never try it, but usually the Wi-Fi adapter on laptops is some kind of usb.

You have to investigate for that side.

I suggest you use the Nirsoft tools to get the ID hardware of the Wi-Fi adapter and

try if ESET Device Control can block it.

I don't have any Endpoint nearby to test, but you can limit the Wi-Fi access (perhaps

blocking) by using ESET Firewall.
