ESET Insiders anirbandutta 0 Posted August 23, 2016 ESET Insiders Share Posted August 23, 2016 I am using ESET Smart Security 9.0.402.0 . ESET detects some downloads as virus. I am using latest Firefox browser(48.0.1) . It's false alert. See attached screenshoot.
Administrators Marcos 5,257 Posted August 23, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 23, 2016 The detection is correct - the software package has a toolbar bundled. Detection of potentially unsafe applications is disabled by default so you must have opted for detection and enabled it after installation in the advanced setup. It doesn't matter if it's installed or not; it's a part of the package and therefore it's detected. PUA detection is optional. If you think that benefits of using a PUA outweigh potential risks, you can exclude such PUA from detection.
