dcsang 0
Hello, I recently decided to start using ESET antivirus and got s very good offer for ESS. The AV component is working well but I am unable to launch Chrome with all modules enabled. The only solution I found was to turn off "Enable HTTP protocol checking". This allows Chrome to launch successfully but disables Internet Protection and Security Tools from the main dashboard. I read through older topics related to Chrome but none of the suggestions for disabling and re-enabling different functions or disabling HIPS would allow Chrome to launch. Here's my Win10 event log for the Event ID 1000. Faulting application name: chrome.exe, version: 51.0.2704.103, time stamp: 0x57610874 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000001be6a6800b3 Faulting process id: 0x17a5c Faulting application start time: 0x01d1d6fdbdd1a556 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 71556519-bf41-43ae-b4db-4f55437eaf75 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Any help would greatly be appreciated. ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 948 Posted July 7, 2016 ESET Moderators Share Posted July 7, 2016 Hello Dcsang, can you please provide me with a dump from the crashing chrome created via procdump (procdump -ma -e chrome) along with ESET log collector via private message to check? Regards, P.R.
