blearyeye 4
Win 10, ESET Smart Security v. 9.0.375.0. As the attachment shows, real-time file system protection & HIPS are non functional. How can I get them working?
Administrators Marcos 4,705 Posted April 8, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 8, 2016 Probably the appropriate drivers are not running. Have you tried uninstalling v9 and installing it from scratch to ensure that they are correctly registered in the system?
blearyeye 4
I did that just a few days ago. Any other ideas?
silva_shells 1
Hi blearyeye, I've just had the same error as you after upgrading to Windows 10 then reinstalling ESET NOD32 Antivirus. After finding your post, I found Windows Defender antivirus was running in the background? After disabling this, the Real-time protection and HIPS became enabled automatically. I'm not an IT person, so if someone else wants to add and/or if I have to do anything else, that would be great.

Solution blearyeye 4 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Solution Share Posted April 12, 2016 @silva_shells: That did the trick, thanks. Btw, I had to restart Windows before it took effect.
