I think this could be the problem:

Warning: HKU\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ProxyEnable=1

Try setting the value to 0 and restart the computer.

Don't reset the value to 1 unless you experience some issues. The default value is 0 and changing it to 1 might cause issues with certificate revocation checks if there's no local proxy listening on port 49500.

As for version 8, it didn't employ the new licensing system that was first used by Endpoint v6.

With v9 installed, please download Procdump from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx. After activation has failed, run a command prompt window with elevated admin rights and run "procdump -ma ekrn". After a  dump has been created, compress it, upload it to a safe location and pm me the download link.

Try setting the value to 0 and restart the computer.

I've noticed that Windows resets the counter to "1" by itself.

Desperate after several attempts i tried the last option, meaning installation of ESS v9 along v8 and it appeared to be successful. V8 is now upgraded to 9, no actvation is required and everything works fine so far.
