rugk 397 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 (edited) Today EMS detected Duet as Android/Locker.EJ during an on-charger-scan. It's the official app from Google Play and hasn't received an update in the last days, so it's very strange that it's now detected. From a description of the same thread (group) I've read the malware should block access to the device. However nothing like this occurred. So is this a false-positive? Edit: Link to this thread sent to ESET labs. Edited August 24, 2015 by rugk
Cistoge 0 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I had exactly the same problem yesterday with chomp SMS. Telling ESM to remove the problem resulted in deinstallation of chomp SMS. I then reinstalled it from Google Play store, but the warning about Locker.EJ reappered immediately.
rugk 397 Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Okay, they confirmed me that it's a false positive: It is a false positive of our scanner and this issue will be fixed in our next signature update.
