Intelectsol 0 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I am attempting to create a System Rescue disk on my 64bit PC prior to installing windows 10 and am encountering a "missing MSI" file error. I am running the latest version of smart security 8.0.319.0. I have researched the problem which has been known to ESET for 4+ Years - hxxp://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/selected-msi-file-does-not-exist-rescue-cd.294550/and I have been to the ESET Solution Page - hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2482. If down load the 32 bit version of Smart Security on my PC will this affect my 64 Bit installation? Do I need to remove my 64 bit version before I download the 32 bit version. Why has this bug not been fixed?
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,443 Posted August 4, 2015 Administrators Solution Posted August 4, 2015 It's not clear what the problem is. Doesn't it work if you follow the instructions in the KB? You don't need to install or uninstall anything, simply download a 32-bit installer and specify the path to it in the appropriate field. As of v9, ESET SysRescue has been replaced with a Linux-based Rescue Live CD so the previous version is not developed any more.
