Questions on Vulnerability and Patch Management

Recommended Posts

I understand that ES v8 brings support for V&PM to macOS. I'm trying to get it working without success.

The related policy settings don't have any indicators/icons for macOS, only Windows and/or Linux. Which would lead to the assumption that none of the available setting apply to macOS.

Is this actually the case?

I have enabled the V&PM feature for the device and it displays the icon in the console that indicates successful activation, yet it does not appear to be scanning as I would expect to see a few vulnerabilities, etc.

There seems to be little visibility to understand what is or isn't happening. I also have a Windows device that was patched yesterday afternoon, but it's still showing the same vulnerabilities today, referencing the old version of the patched product. I can't tell what's happening there, either.

Appreciate any feedback.

ESET Endpoint Security for macOS 8.0 supports V&PM so I assume that only an update of the Configuration module is needed. Waiting for developers to confirm my assumption.

Hi Marcos,

Is the same for LiveGuard?
