damtechmatt 10
I have a machine in cloud protect that has a yellow warning to say Recent update attempts failed Except everything is up to date. The error was raised on the 2nd of May, and I cant see anywhere to clear it. A machine restart doesn't clear it either. Anyone know how to clear it? ESET Staff AAndrejko 11 Posted May 30 ESET Staff Share Posted May 30 Hi @damtechmatt This error can be caused by an update being pushed to the device when the Auto-Update service has already got an update pending to be installed. To resolve it please delete both of the following files under C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Full Disk Encryption\Updater on the client device - EFDEUpdateService.cfg EFDEUpdateService.log Kind regards, Ashley
damtechmatt 10
Great thanks Do I need to run anything on the machine afterwards, or should it just clear the alert by itself?
ESET Staff Solution AAndrejko 11 Posted May 30 ESET Staff Solution Share Posted May 30 @damtechmatt A reboot is probably the best idea. If you can't reboot then restart the ESET Full Disk Encryption Service and wait for the agent to contact the Protect server again. Should all be up to date and working then.
