Penfoldius 0
I have been trying to uninstalll for a few weeks now to upgrade to SS8 from SS7 but every time i attempt to upgrade from SS7 it uninstalls, restarts and doesnt install SS8. I have even tried repairing but it gives me an error to do with C:\Program Date/ESET/ESET Smart Security/Logs/eScan. I have added an attachment. If anyone know how to fix this i would be very gratful as t has been bugging me for ages now. The more annoying problem is te other PCs i have ESS on have both been able to upgrade to SS8 from SS7 with no complications. I have to add that they are both running Windows 7 Pro
SweX 871
Hello, Try to run the ESET Uninstaller in safe-mode..... hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2289&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1423661915366 Then boot like normal and try to install ESS V8 again. rugk 397
This could indeed solve the problem. Maybe the problem of your issue are wrong permissions of the directory C:\Program Data\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Logs (or an directory above).
