Thunderbird: Real threat or fake alert?

Recommended Posts

Guest WorriedCustomer

Hi,

Eset Online Scanner detects a trojan in my Thunderbird inbox that no other virus scanner (Malwarebytes, Windows Defender) detects.

Is this a real threat or a wrong detection?

Thank you.

Hard to tell without checking the file itself. If you can save it to a disk from a particular email in the mailbox, you can send it to me.

I believe these nstmp files are temporary backups Thunderbird creates (multiple GBs big) and I wouldn't want to send you my emails :)
