Varxx 0
Simple question: Before installing ESET Endpoint Protection Standard on a new Windows machine, do I need to disable Windows Defender? My new machine is running Window 11 Pro. I saw Windows Defender discussed in a number of threads, but I still wasn't clear if I needed to manually disable or not. I think Windows itself may do this automatically when a third-party AV is installed, but I wanted to be certain. Thank you.
Administrators Marcos 5,272 Posted January 28 Administrators Share Posted January 28 Windows disables Defender real-time protection automatically as soon as a 3rd party real-time protection registers to the Windows Security Center. Solution Varxx 0 Posted January 28 Author Solution Share Posted January 28 OK, thank you, Marcos. That's what I was inferring from several posts, but it helps to have it stated clearly.
