BlueBear 2
Hi, We have been using ESET AV on Ubuntu for a while now, and following a recent re-image of the device, we can no longer get the AV to run. We have deployed the latest Ubuntu desktop with a full install package (all drivers, software etc..) and have managed to deploy the agent and AV via the console, however, when trying to run the AV we get the message "ESET Endpoint Antivirus Error: Cannot connect to Confd: No such device or address". Confd does not exist within the expected folder and confd is not found as package to install via apt-get. We have tried with various versions of ESET AV, including the .bin file from the ESET Download page - all of them do not work. We have seen a similar thread on this forum in the server section but there's no answers there. Any ideas on how to progress please? Thank you Edited January 26 by BlueBear

ESET Staff kurco 19 Posted January 26 ESET Staff Share Posted January 26 Hi BlueBear, Confd is part of Endpoint Antivirus, if you are getting this error, there is something wrong with your installation. Could you please share logs? without them it's really hard to tell what is wrong. Regards Kurco BlueBear

ESET Staff kurco 19 Posted January 26 ESET Staff Share Posted January 26 yes, please try it. Most probably it will have problems to collect everything (because of confd issue), but for now, it should be enough. BlueBear
