Unable To Check Registry for Malware

Recommended Posts

I have resolved the issue with a little help of this article. The things which I followed, first I opened the run and followed this command

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

after doing the tasks properly, the problem got solved. Now when I check the malware, there was no issue.

I believe you are referring to this registry key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Malware will store there malware payload in this key for persistence purposes ensuring the malware always runs at system startup time. The point to note is the malware still exists on your system regardless if present in this registry key.
