fahadu 0
Hi, I just installed NOD 32 Antivirus version 8. i have gone to URL management and allowed only specific websites. This is working fine with Mozila if enter any website it blocks and gives message Access denid (which is working fine). Whereas if i enter same or any other webiste in internet explorer it does not block and i can visit any website. Basically it's not blocking any website if i use Internt Explorer. Please let me know the reason and the solution. Regards. Fahad.
Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted December 11, 2014 Administrators Share Posted December 11, 2014 To test url blocking functionality, create a blocking rule with an asterisk as the url and enable notifications when the rule is applied. Then check if you get a notification while attempting to browse in IE.
rugk 397
Normally the blocking should be work in any browser/any applications, because it's browser-independent. So what OS are you using and what version of Internet Explorer? Related: How do I block a website using ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus?
