You will have to elaborate your statement about saving a SysInspector log file. Refer to the below screen shot.

First, SysInpector log files are auto retained by your Eset installation. If you wish to save a SysInspector log file external to your Eset installation, you export it to a local Win directory of your choosing. Obviously, admin privileges are required to do so.

in the attached video you'll see the moment sysinspector crashes.

"save log", then the "save as" dialog appears and, after a few seconds, the app vanishes in thin air.

I will check the export option you suggested.

thank you.

Thanks for info and video, it seems to SysInspector standalone version 1.4.2.0. We're working on new version of SysInspector, that will be available soon. Until then please try latest version 1.4.5.0, that works for me.

thanks, 1.4.5.0 does not crash.

the option "HELP - CHECK FOR UPDATES" still gives the wrong version #, as seen in my 2nd comment.   A minor issue IMO.

Please use ESET SysInspector v2 installed with ESET products v16.0 and newer:

what is the difference between syspinspector and esetlogcollector?

which one is preferred?   I noticed the former is windows only, while the latter is available for windows, linux and macos.

Thx.

Yes, the standalone version is still v1 but v2 has been included with ESET products as of v16.0. To the best of my knowledge, the standalone version should be replaced with v2 soon.
