The information about Windows updates is provided by Windows itself.

Please run this PowerShell script and provide the output: 

$searcher = New-Object -ComObject Microsoft.Update.Searcher

In the provided screenshot it's stated wrong

You applied 2023-01 , ESET is showing 2023-04

Hence the install date , January , which each month should be a new update , 01 Jan , 02 Feb , 03 March , 04 April etc.. , but the missing months you have will be included in the latest one you will download.

Microsoft releases that Cumulative Update , monthly , second Tuesday of the month , you will have the cumulative update package from MS

If I'm reading that correctly, they are all optional updates for firmware/drivers.

@Nightowl - I was unaware they shared the same KB number for different patches. That seems like such a bad policy (but that's besides the point).

In regards to 2023-04, I have a optional preview update available - KB5025297. My understanding is that KB5025297 is basically beta and MS they want users to test it? But in terms of KB4023057, that doesn't show anywhere as being available. UI or Powershell (unless I missed something above). So I don't know how ESET is reporting it?

If I'm reading that correctly, they are all optional updates for firmware/drivers.

@Nightowl - I was unaware they shared the same KB number for different patches. That seems like such a bad policy (but that's besides the point).

In regards to 2023-04, I have a optional preview update available - KB5025297. My understanding is that KB5025297 is basically beta and MS they want users to test it? But in terms of KB4023057, that doesn't show anywhere as being available. UI or Powershell (unless I missed something above). So I don't know how ESET is reporting it?

As far as KB4023057 goes, the last one installed on my Win 10 22H2 build was in 1/2023.

In regards to Eset informing a 4/2023 update is available, did you actually go to Win Update settings in Win 10 and check if any Win Updates are available by forcing an update check? After doing so, is a 4/2023 update for KB4023057 shown?

We assume that you update Windows from a local WSUS server which is why ESET shows the update as available but the script didn't detect it either. We get the list of available updates from Microsoft, not from the WSUS server.

I just received the update notification for KB4023057 from ESSP. Manually checked if any Win updates were available for my Win10 x(64) 22H2 build and there were none.

To confirm I update via the standard Windows Update UI. Not WSUS. I have manually checked multiple times yesterday and again this morning. The UI shows I'm up-to-date. This appears to be an issue with ESET.

After my manual Win 10 update check yesterday, Eset has not again informed it is available.

As far as KB4023057 goes, it really only applies to Microsoft Intune managed devices as far as regular updating of it goes;

Bottom line is Microsoft Update Health Tools which you can find in Win Installed Programs section includes the expedited update feature but it is only used in the above posted context. Appears Microsoft dropped Update Health Tools on all Win 10 devices but hasn't updated it since Jan. - 2023 via KB4023057 except for Intune managed devices.
