The system date was set in advance. Eset now shows a last update date in the future and does not run any updates. How do I reset the last update date in Eset Smart Security?

An incorrect date should not affect updates. Does switching to the pre-release update channel and back help?

Sorry for the late reply, however, I am on casual hours.

When I listed all modules, the newest one was March 7th and the auto-update function did not seem to do anything.

This morning I clicked on Check for Updates and it did the update ok, so all good.

Not that it matters now, but how do you switch to the pre-release update channel?

Thanks for your advice.

You can switch to pre-release updates in the advanced update setup:

I would like to stress that pre-release updates are not beta updates. They are standard updates which have been fully tested and are made available via the pre-release update channel first. While I don't expect you'd ever encounter an issue with them, you can switch back and forth at any time.

Thanks Marcos,

As noted above, I am not sure what corrected the problem, but it all looks good now and is checking for updates as normal.

Facing the same issue, tried the same steps.. it shows error...

What error do you mean? Please post a screenshot for clarification.

I've shifted the system date to the future and switched to the pre-release update channel:

Then set a correct system date and switched to the regular update channel:

No problems with the date shown in the Update pane observed.
