Hello, I have multiple Linux machines in my ESET Protect inventory (running either CentOS or Ubuntu).

I have noticed, that machines running Ubuntu doesn't report that there are updates available for operating system (updated packages).

But machines running CentOS, where packages also need to be updated, it shows "Operating system is not up to date" in ESET Protect Web Console.

I want to see this alert on my Ubuntu machines too.

Is there something wrong with configuration or something else? Because everything else works (Running tasks, doing reboots, hardware reports, etc.)

Hi All,

I'm experiencing the same issue. Is this the default behaviour? Does something needs to be done manually to get Ubunutu update reports ?

Thanks

Any news about this? We have Ubuntu and Debian Linux Servers and never saw any OS upgrade informations.

Do i need to change something on the server itself, so the management cleibt can check this?

The plan is to have it fixed in the next version of the management agent 10.1.

Sounds good. Will this then be for all linux versions or can it be still limited? Dont find any detail informations about the feature "missing os update reports" on linux systems.

Is there an issue with determining available system updates also on other distros than Ubuntu 22.04?

Aa i mentioned before, i've never seen Update OS warnings for linux systems in general. I thought this is not uspported by the linux agent.
