If there's an issue scanning WMI, it could be that the WMI repository is corrupted and needs to be rebuilt, e.g. as per https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/ask-the-performance-team/wmi-rebuilding-the-wmi-repository/ba-p/373846.
tommy456 12 Posted February 1, 2023 Author Posted February 1, 2023 I rebooted the machine, due to another programme that had several days ago caused a problem with windows, becoming un responsive and explorer crashing , and it scanned as intended , so must have been down to that maybe ending some other windows process
