Ed Spurrell 2
Hi All, I just installed a new MB and cpu and done a clean install of windows 10 Pro. In my router I have a port forwarded and was working fine with windows defender firewall. I just installed ESET Internet security and activated it. I created a firewall rule to allow the application in and out and set the local port but ESET will not allow the port to open. I followed several how-to's and I have the rule set properly. Can someone tell me what I am missing or doing wrong? Greatly appreciate any help here. I need this port open Thanks
Solution Ed Spurrell 2 Posted November 13, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted November 13, 2021 Solved: I just remembered that maybe the router had the port forwarded to the old MB. Sure enough it was the culprit. I changed the computer name and the port is now open. Hope this helps others. cheers New_Style_xd
