one-time online scanner System Error

I did a search and could not find details on the error i am getting, so if this is already covered, let me know the location.  I am running Windows 7 SP1 Build 7601).

I have downloaded the one-time online scanner (esetonlinescanner.exe) and when i run this as Administrator, i get the following error:

esetonlinescanner.exe - System Error
The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-winrt-error-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Where do i get the file that is being requested?

This will be fixed in the next version of the ESET Online Scanner (EOS). The issue affects Windows 7 SP1.

We strongly recommend installing an ESET security product since EOS is just an on-demand scanner that cannot protect you from malware attacks and cannot detect malware which was already auto removed after it had been run.

Thanks for the quick response.  It appears that i have some malware, and while researching, EOS was recommended to be ran (along with Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, Emsisoft Emergency Kit, MalwareBytes, and EOS).

What is the ETA on the next version of EOS?

ESET Online Scanner v3.4.2.0 SR (service release) was released on August 3rd.  It can be accessed from https://www.eset.com/int/home/online-scanner/.
