raynet 0 Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Hello, I am not able to create policies for product ESET File Security for Linux (v7) with ESMC. The Linux product in version 7 is not selectable (please see attached image 1 and 2). My version of ESMC is 7.0 (7.0.577.0) [please see image 5]. This version should be able to manage ESET File Security for Linux (v7): https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/70/en-US/supported_products.html (please see attached image 3) https://support.eset.com/kb3690/ (please see attached image 4) Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you. Best Regards
Administrators Marcos 5,462 Posted October 18, 2019 Administrators Posted October 18, 2019 I have newer modules but also have updates from the pre-release update channel enabled: I would check the ESMC server trace log for possible update errors. You can also enforce update of modules by restarting the ESMC server service.
ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted October 18, 2019 ESET Staff Posted October 18, 2019 As @Marcos pointed out, support for EFS7 for Linux has been added in "Configuration module" 1740.* so it is necessary to make ESMC to update it's modules. As ESMC 7.0 is used, update problems might be caused by bug preventing ESMC to use HTTP proxy to update. I would also recommend to check whether download from http://update.eset.com is enabled on firewall - list of IP addresses can be found in ESET KB332
raynet 0 Posted November 6, 2019 Author Posted November 6, 2019 After upgrading the ESMC modules it is now possible to manage ESET File Security for Linux (+v7). Thanks a lot!
