DarrenDK 0 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I have ESET Endpoint Security Deployed to about 10 workstations. They are properly licensed, and I have a policy I've deployed through RSAT that filters certain sites. However, on all but one of the workstations, I get an error that says "Web control is not functional, because superior program modules do not work" What does this mean? I was getting this error on one machine, but after leaving it alone for a day it went away and randomly started working. Also, what is the fastest to cause a policy refresh so I can unblock certain websites as the need arises?
Administrators Marcos 5,468 Posted January 9, 2014 Administrators Posted January 9, 2014 Please check if you have application protocol filtering enabled under Web and email -> Protocol filtering.
DarrenDK 0 Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 This option is greyed out on the client. I went ahead and set this on the server anyway, but the client is still greyed out and inactive. How do you force the client to grab a new config from the server?
Administrators Marcos 5,468 Posted January 10, 2014 Administrators Posted January 10, 2014 Do you have personal firewall integration set to "All features active" or at least "Only scan application protocols"?
DarrenDK 0 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 That appears to have fixed it. Thanks!
