Mirror update trouble

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with updating Eset Endpoint Antivirus v. 6.6.2046.1 through Mirror on ESET File security Server 6.5.12010.

Got "File not found" on client.

EA 6.5 and 6.2 updated well.

What's the problem?

Where can I manualy download old version of EA? Cause ERA's tasks work very bad.

V6.5 or older products cannot create a mirror for Endpoint v6.6. We strongly recommend using an http proxy instead of a mirror which would also save traffic. Currently you can use another Endpoint 6.6 to create a compatible mirror.

We plan to update the Mirror tool to support the new format of modules used in Endpoint 6.6. EFSW v7 and other v7 server products will support creation of mirror for Endpoint 6.6 and newer.

What do you think how long do we need two mirrors? For 6.5 and 6.6... Because for the server versions there is no 6.6 available yet. When will be the new version available?

Thanks

Thomas

Hello,

6.6 versions of the Windows Server products are not planned to be released. V7 is an evolution version, which is planned for the release by Q1/2018 (valid for both Endpoints and EFSW)

Endpoint 6.6 creates a mirror for both older products and Endpoint 6.6+ as well as all future v7+ server products. Mirror creation should work this way in future products, including EFSW v7, etc. We recommend using http proxy as using mirror will double the amount of data downloaded with each update.
