Problem with Webcontrol

Hi,

I try the actual webcontrol (6.5) and have some problems with https sites.

Facebook for example is blocked but the message says only "no safe connection possible". On http sites i get the ESET block notice but on https not. (i blocked over categories

Need i something special to setup?

That is expected behavior as the connection with https websites is terminated during the handshake. Do you have SSL/TLS filtering enabled?

Yes all is on.

EDIT: I test it now With only alcohol Filter. All http blocked correct with message, https works not only for alcohol pages. Other are working.

I read a other thread:

You say its "normal" but if we want to use this function, all employee will complain about this message. Other Virus Software can handle this, why eset can't check and do a popup from ESET. This will be a "compromise solution".

Because we likely do more than other AVs. We can also block https communication even with SSL/TLS filtering disabled which is the reason for that behavior. However, a notification bubble should pop up anyways.

We could do it differently so that a message is shown in the browser even for https websites but this would deteriorate protection capabilities for users who don't have SSL/TLS filtering enabled.

Yes shure but you know that i cant Setup "warning" for https sites? Because the site gets blocked before ESET can give me the "allow" feature. Its good to know that you are better than others but it should work correctly

By the way, does switching to pre-release updates in the advanced update setup make a difference?
