Just installed 1 user Internet security on a 3rd computer.  I have ESS on the other two PCs.

On the EIS, under HIPS - filtering mode - the default is automatic mode.   //   Other PC has - ESS - has smart mode.   Which is the better?

ALSO.  -  Under HIPS, ESS has enable protected service.  EIS has no such option???

ALSO   -  ess has check screen for AMSI  -    EIS does not have this option.  is this correct?

Just asking.  Thanks. :)

Smart mode is a kind of interactive mode in which HIPS asks you only about actually suspicious operations instead of all.

It has but it's only supported by Windows 8.1 and newer. Also it requires self-defense to be enabled.

It has but AMSI is supported only by Windows 10.
