jems 4
Just installed 1 user Internet security on a 3rd computer. I have ESS on the other two PCs. On the EIS, under HIPS - filtering mode - the default is automatic mode. // Other PC has - ESS - has smart mode. Which is the better? ALSO. - Under HIPS, ESS has enable protected service. EIS has no such option??? ALSO - ess has check screen for AMSI - EIS does not have this option. is this correct? Just asking. Thanks.

Which is the better? Smart mode is a kind of interactive mode in which HIPS asks you only about actually suspicious operations instead of all. 4 hours ago, jems said: ALSO. - Under HIPS, ESS has enable protected service. EIS has no such option? It has but it's only supported by Windows 8.1 and newer. Also it requires self-defense to be enabled. 4 hours ago, jems said: ALSO - ess has check screen for AMSI - EIS does not have this option. It has but AMSI is supported only by Windows 10.
