itman 1,707 Posted November 9, 2016 Share Posted November 9, 2016 Suggest you surf the web for sites that have articles on how to configure the Win Firewall. Do note that there is no "interactive" alert mode for the Win firewall. You will have to monitor the firewall logs which are somewhat cryptic for blocked inbound or outbound connections. Note that by default, all outbound traffic is allowed in the Win firewall. Also, the default Win firewall inbound rules are adequate for general Internet use. For the time being I would like to do my best to manage with Windows Firewall, not another free firewall yet. I intentionally blocked all the Outbound and Inbound traffic. I have been trying to create manual rules for each program, service and port. I would be very grateful if someone could say if there are known manually created Inbound and Outbound rules for NOD32 Antivirus. Thank you. But, there is a solution; Install Tiny Wall (which will manage Windows firewall) and you will see which component of Nod32 is asking out or in and create a rule in Tiny Wall; if you are satisfied with Tiny Wall keep it, if not write down the rules, uninstall it and use the rules for Windows Firewall Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Someone can give any advice please, if there is any way to add by copy-paste all those rules into a script, in order to use the script for add them to Windows Firewall automatically, the reason would be that the rules have to be add on more machines. novice 20 Posted November 10, 2016 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Why don't you simply allow unrestricted access for NOD 32 to the internet , rather than creating 100 rules in the windows firewall? By default, the Win firewall will monitor inbound activity and allow all outbound activity. The inbound rules used are controlled by the Win firewall profile selected; Home/Workgroup or Public.
