  1. Hi @eornate, Click on my profile here and then 'Message' I shall handle this with you from there Thank you, Kieran Stainton
  2. Hi @eornate, Do you use this license on another EEE Server or have you activated EEE Clients in 'Standalone'/'Unmanaged' mode as per this article: https://help.eset.com/eee_qsg/en-US/quick_start_guide.html Without your details I could not tell you where the other seats are being used, could you possibly contact me directly with them and I shall be able to tell you more. Thank you, Kieran Stainton
  3. HI @Ovidiu, I have not seen this issue before. May I ask the reason for attempting decryption via the ESET Recovery Media Creator, what issue are you having with your EEE Client machines? I assume by your message you are following: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7160-decrypt-a-managed-system-that-is-unable-to-start-windows If that is the case, if you disable 'Secure Boot' on the machines you are attempting to decrypt and create the ESET Recovery USB via the Creator Tool as a 'EFI USB 32 & 64 bit' instead of using the WIN RE methods. Does this allow you to boot to the USB and decrypt as expected? Thank you, Kieran
  4. No problem at all @swinfo, glad all is OK.
  5. Hi @swinfo, Would you be able to submit a support ticket via: https://www.eset.com/int/support/contact/ Could you do this with a screenshot of you attempting to connect to https://stratus.deslock.com and http://stratus.deslock.com via IE or Edge. Thank you, Kieran
  6. Hi @eornate, I am afraid the only way to encrypt an email is via the options in the ESET Endpoint Encryption Tab within Outlook, you are not able to do this via the default Outlook SEND button. Thank you, Kieran
  7. Hi @eornate, Please see the following image. Basically the "Automatically encrypt attachments" setting merely automatically pre-ticks the "Encryption Attachments" tickbox located here, when you use the "Encrypt Now!", "Encrypt On Send" and "Encrypt And Send" options located in the EEE tab. Hope this helps explain what this setting actually does. Thank you, Kieran
  8. Hi @eornate, Looking into this for you. Thank you, Kieran
  9. Hi @anjayani, I recommend taking a look at this Knowledge Base article we have available: https://support.eset.com/en/kb8435-error-unable-to-start-the-system-due-to-a-problem-accessing-vital-encryption-data-in-eset-endpoint-encryption-or-eset-full-disk-encryption If you are using the correct Recovery Data file for the machine in question as per the Recovery steps here: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/recovery_data.html we are likely going to need you to perform a 'search for meta data' and provide this to us via our support channels that you can find here: https://www.eset.com/int/support/contact/ this will allow us to investigate this further for you. Thank you, Kieran
  10. Update: EEE Server Cloud Proxy (Proxy Sync) for both EEES and EEE Clients is now online and should solve any issues that you were getting @damtechmatt Thank you.
  11. Hi @damtechmatt, As of today, we have had issues, we are currently investigating this and I shall update this post once we know more. Please note, this is not relevant to the original post. But a new situation today. Thank you, Kieran
  12. Hi @Kloburger, Just out of interest, have you submitted a support ticket for this issue? The EEES Cloud Proxy error you are seeing is likely due to a Network Issue with connecting to our EEES Cloud Proxy. Please see the below KB for more information. You should ensure connection to http://stratus.deslock.com and https://stratus.deslock.com is allowed through your firewall, some customers have had set rules to allow the IP through their firewall to resolve this. https://support.eset.com/en/kb7429-eset-endpoint-encryption-internet-access I can confirm the Cloud Proxy is accessible and not down, therefore it seems to be that there is something blocking the connecting via your EEE Server host. Thank you, Kieran
  13. Hi @DALEX, Don't worry, if your license expires, the capability to decrypt your data is absolutely functional via all the usual means be it Standalone EEE or Managed EEE (Via ESET Endpoint Encryption Server). It simply prevents you from re-encrypting after the fact or encrypting new Files/Folders for example. Everything including Files and Folders can be decrypted if your license expires. Thank you, Kieran
  14. Hi @TMD, Please submit a ticket with all relevant information here please: https://www.eset.com/gh/about/contact/ Whilst submitting the ticket, could you attach these logs, as they will acquire some of the EEE Server logs that will assist in resolving this issue: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7123-eset-encryption-diagnostics-tool Thank you, Kieran
  15. Hi @kevajo, You will need to follow this article to recover the disabled user: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/recovery_password.html Alternatively you can decrypt using this article: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/recovery_data.html and then uninstall EFDE. Thank you, Kieran
  16. Hi @AhmedDeban, Hopefully this KB can help you with the issue: https://support.eset.com/en/kb8338-error-disk-enumeration-failed-in-eset-endpoint-encryption-or-eset-full-disk-encryption Thank you.
  17. Hi @AhmedDeban, Not sure if this is for EFDE or EEE, but so long as you can access the Recovery File from either EP Console or EEE Server, you should have no issues decrypting this disk via the following methods: EFDE: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/recovery_data.html - Recovery File required no matter how you encrypted. EEE (Managed): https://support.eset.com/en/kb7160-decrypt-a-managed-system-that-is-unable-to-start-windows - Recovery File should only be required if you used TPM to encrypt. EEE (Standalone): https://support.eset.com/en/kb7146-decrypt-a-standalone-system-that-is-unable-to-start-windows - Just need to use the Admin or User FDE Credentials.
  18. Hi @Luc Friedrich, In that case, you will need to follow the relevant link I posted above to decrypt the affected systems. Thank you.
  19. Hi @Luc Friedrich, Which product are you using ESET Endpoint Encryption or ESET Full Disk Encryption? Is the FDE Password being rejected with an error via the Pre-Boot Authentication screen? E.g. "Password being entered is incorrect" or "User is disabled" Or are they experiencing a completely different issue when attempting to gain access to the system? Either way, if you simply want to move on and use emergency recovery for either product here are your options: EEE - Managed: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7160-decrypt-a-managed-system-that-is-unable-to-start-windows EEE - Standalone: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7146-decrypt-a-standalone-system-that-is-unable-to-start-windows EFDE: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/recovery_data.html
  20. Hi @santoso, EEE will still have it's Pre-Boot Authentication screen and require a password to access the disk, and the whole disk will remain encrypted. Please see this KB to understand what happens when your EEE license expires: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7536-expired-eset-endpoint-encryption-license Thank you, Kieran
  21. Hi @Damian Hallay, Here is the KB you need https://support.eset.com/en/kb7184-reset-your-password-in-eset-endpoint-encryption-server-using-the-reset-tool Thanks for pointing this out, I will contact the team required to get this rectified on the KB you mentioned. Thank you, Kieran
  22. Hi @Pabalelo, I am currently speaking with colleagues that work with ESET Protect, I will be back in touch via this forum as soon as I can. Thank you.
  23. Hi @Pabalelo, This is a question best suited for the ESET Protect Team, you could submit a ticket via https://www.eset.com/za/support/contact/ and they shall be able to advise you correctly on how to acquire this information. Thank you, Kieran
  24. Hi @rgoldman, If you are talking about the FDE Password and how to deploy EFDE with a pre-determined FDE Password, you can find the relevant info here: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/deploy_installer_predefined_password.html Thank you, Kieran
  25. Hi @Edmond H T Lo, I am afraid there isn't a 'Default' settings for Password Expiry, so it will not expire unless you send a 'Invalidate FDE login Password' task to the EFDE Client. See here: https://help.eset.com/efde/en-US/encryption_management.html There isn't a list as such of what is default, but if using the 'Encrypt all disk" Built In Policy then the following will be default: Use TPM: Enabled (Use if possible) User can change password: Enabled Password Min Length: 8 Must use Lowercase, Uppercase and Numbers: Enabled Incorrect Password Attempts: 5 "Recovery" Incorrect Password Attempts: 5 "Recovery" Password Uses: 5 Those are all the important ones that should be noted.
