Please kindly do not deactivate the notifications or you won't probably reactivate them later and missing some important notifications in the future may lead to issues if our message cannot be delivered. We are working on a solution when managed Endpoint won't display the notification in gui. It may take a couple of days and we expect it to be released next week.

Any updates on this at all Marcos?  I have a one Windows 7 box and some legacy 2008 R2 Servers at my company displaying the yellow EOL alerts in the cloud instance.  Thanks!

    Do you have WDAC enabled?

Also I would say that you need to be running at least Win 10/11 Pro to be able to configure Smart App Control.

I am in eval mode at the moment.  I am running Windows 11 22H2 Enterprise.

You can disable ESET LiveGuard Advanced via a policy here:

What is the reason for disabling it?

That is pretty much what I did.  However I had to create a new container as all computers have it enabled per my policy applied to that container.  But that would turn it off for everyone which I do not want to do.

Developer machines.  It was sending too many files to the cloud and causing issues when compiling code etc.  Or if they needed to install something the 5 minute wait for it be deemed ok was killing them.

  4. Hi folks,

I was wondering if someone could tell me how to disable this on an endpoint.  I tried doing it from "Deactivating Products" on the endpoint and selected it.  It took a few minutes and it was gone.  Then a few minutes later it appeared again.  I assume this is because it was selected to be "on" for the policy I have set on a large batch of computers in this container.

So I created a separate container and removed this option from the policy.  Next I deactivated it from the endpoint I want to disable this on.  So far it has stuck.

Is this the best way to do this?  Or is there an easier way?

    Thanks.

    Hello Jim / @Trooper,

as of now it is compatible with the on-prem deployment only 😞 (the ESET Bridge management, cert distribution for https caching)

It can be deployed as a stand-alone, not managed proxy for the current endpoints as well.

Thanks Peter.  Looking forward to when I can beta test the EES for use with Protect Cloud.

    Cheers!
