This happened to me on Server 2019 and Server 2022. I have almost 60 VM's so not going to install Windows Updates until something other than yet another reboot fixes it.

From what I understood the alert was removed from the client side, but not from the management console, which makes sense IMHO.
I have notifs disabled on endpoints. I just do not want to see them in the console.

Here the alerts have gone.
Seems that ESET fixed the issue "online" without the need to deploy anything. We use on prem management.
Wow really? I am still seeing alerts in my cloud console. 🤔

Please kindly do not deactivate the notifications or you won't probably reactivate them later and missing some important notifications in the future may lead to issues if our message cannot be delivered. We are working on a solution when managed Endpoint won't display the notification in gui. It may take a couple of days and we expect it to be released next week.
Any updates on this at all Marcos? I have a one Windows 7 box and some legacy 2008 R2 Servers at my company displaying the yellow EOL alerts in the cloud instance. Thanks!

I already see many users complaining about the green frame. It needs to go completely when the user disables the "Browser's green frame" option.
I agree. I do not care for it either.

Many thanks to you both for this.

Is this a fp? Showed up on one of my endpoints today.

I would start here. https://help.eset.com/protect_install/91/en-US/migration_same_version.html
But you could always contact support. You did not mention what version of ESET Protect you are on, I assume it is the latest.

Do you have WDAC enabled?
Also I would say that you need to be running at least Win 10/11 Pro to be able to configure Smart App Control.
I am in eval mode at the moment. I am running Windows 11 22H2 Enterprise.

I guess this is just for the consumer version of ESET? I have not noticed any oddities on ESET Endpoint Security.
-
No you have to redo it.

Not able to install. Getting a 1603 error. Is it not compatible with 22H2 yet?
-
With our Developers, that is almost impossible. For the few machines we have I am comfortable with having this turned off.

That is pretty much what I did. However I had to create a new container as all computers have it enabled per my policy applied to that container. But that would turn it off for everyone which I do not want to do.
Developer machines. It was sending too many files to the cloud and causing issues when compiling code etc. Or if they needed to install something the 5 minute wait for it be deemed ok was killing them.

Hi folks,
I was wondering if someone could tell me how to disable this on an endpoint. I tried doing it from "Deactivating Products" on the endpoint and selected it. It took a few minutes and it was gone. Then a few minutes later it appeared again. I assume this is because it was selected to be "on" for the policy I have set on a large batch of computers in this container.
So I created a separate container and removed this option from the policy. Next I deactivated it from the endpoint I want to disable this on. So far it has stuck.
Is this the best way to do this? Or is there an easier way?
Thanks.

Hello Jim / @Trooper,
as of now it is compatible with the on-prem deployment only 😞 (the ESET Bridge management, cert distribution for https caching)
It can be deployed as a stand-alone, not managed proxy for the current endpoints as well.
Peter
Thanks Peter. Looking forward to when I can beta test the EES for use with Protect Cloud.
Cheers!

Glad to see this get sorted. A bit more insight on what caused this would be nice.

Hello Peter,
So this is for on prem only correct? I would not mind beta testing the ESET Endpoint Security v 10 if it is compatible with ESET Protect Cloud.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Jim

Happened to me again this month as well. Hope MS and ESET can get this fixed up for February updates.
