Seth 2
The ESET GUI icon next to clock has disappeared. ESET won't even start on reboot or show the startup screen on reboot. I have to manually start ESET everytime. I have followed this guide but did not help. Ho do I fix this? hxxp://support.eset.com/kb532/?locale=en_US
Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted September 20, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 20, 2016 If you have v9 or newer installed, you should not add a reference to egui.exe to the run registry key. If you remove it from the run key and restart the computer, are both ekrn.exe and egui.exe processes running in the Task manager?
Seth 2
Ok. I removed egui.exe from shell:startup and did a reboot. The only thing I can see in Task Manager is: ESET Service. I don't see ekrn.exe or egui.exe. I'm running Windows 10 with latest ESS.

TomFace 539
Have you tried doing a program repair via control panel>programs and features?

TomFace 539
Guess it's time to uninstall and reinstall.
Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted September 26, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2016 If egui.exe does not appear in the list of running processes, we'll need a Process monitor boot log as well as logs collected by ESET Log Collector for further analysis. Please contact your local customer care for further troubleshooting.
