Mirror on Hyper-V

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys,

I have installed ESET Remote administrator virtual appliance in Microsoft Hyper-V. I can't find a way to use it as a mirror for updating clients on my network.

Is it possible to do that, and if it is how can i do it

With ERA6, you can create a mirror either using Endpoint v6 or EFSW/EMSX v6 or the Mirror tool as per the instructions at hxxp://help.eset.com/era_install/62/en-US/index.html?mirror_tool_linux.htm. The Mirror tool merely creates a mirror but does act as an http server for distribution of updates.

Is new documentation on Mirror Tool available?

What to I have type in cron for MirrorTool to execute every 30 min?

So I did figured out what I have to enter in cron. Basically its entire command for creating mirror.

I really hope that you complete documentation for Mirror Tool for Linux and include configuration steps for SELinux for samba file shares and iptables.

Or at lease configure next virtual appliance to enable samba file share from start.

Thanks.

So...I've been trying to update client from mirror and I'm getting error "Unauthorized access" on client.

Mirror is created on virtual appliance.

What do I have to change in policy?
