It replaces all your old chipset drivers with *generic* microsoft ones.You can check by going to control panel > device manager > system devices , and looking at the drivers (version and author).Going to your motherboard manufacturers website and downloading new windows 10 compatible chipset drivers might cure any problems you are having installing ESS/EAV.
